And a question: Why the fuck is THIS okay? Why isn’t this man in jail? This is clearly racist. No one is making a big deal about all the people wearing shirts calling Zimmerman a ‘cracker’. Which is RACIST.

I got a lot of folks across the spectrum of humanity, but things like this is why I’ll NEVER believe that racism is dead.  So someone wearing a shirt with the word “cracker” on it is a cause or equivalent as a man killing an unarmed boy when he broke LAWS in doing so?  

This is my fault tho for just following anybody, I’m glad this internet world got so many folks feeling comfy to say shit like this behind their computer screens tho.

I agree with nakedinmybeds comment. Racism from both sides is still racism. No, wearing this shirt is not equivalent to murdering someone but it is still ignorance in its highest form.
For the record, I would say this to anyone in person no matter their race, etc.

I already don’t follow you dumbass (which I could guarantee you wouldn’t say to me in person haha) and if you think this man should be a in jail for this tee shirt then it shows me you’re as ignorant as he is for wearing the shirt.  The first post was saying “why isn’t this man in jail?” This is what people do, whenever someone feels any kind of thing, they try to come out of left field with something idiotic to divert from any real issues.

People of Color cannot be racist. Lather, rinse, repeat. We can be prejudiced, but we can’t be racist because racism entails the power to economically and socially oppress a group of people based on ethnicity, which we clearly don’t have that power.
Further, the etymology of the word “cracker” refers to the sound of the whip meeting the flesh as metered out by White slave masters. The proverbial whip meeting the flesh is still evident today with systemic oppression of People of Color.
Therefore, cracker is a word that equates to a statement of historic, anecdotal fact whereas nigger is a racial slur whose etymology and intent has always been derogatory and purposed in the derision and oppression of PoC.

Reblogging for truth (the comment by yepdeesaidit). Prejudice /=/ racism. Racism can only be wielded by the people with the institutional power to wield it. (Same is true with sexism, which is why women can be total assholes, but in our society, can’t actually use anything that could be called “sexism” to harm men). 

And trying to compare this t-shirt to what happened to Trayvon Martin is just … repulsive. Seriously, people, if you honestly think a semi-offensive t-shirt is the problem here, then fuck you. The thing I find most offensive about the shirt is the use of the word “pussy.” Please don’t compare that criminal asshole with any part of my body, thankyouverymuch.
